Larry A. Strauss is an associate attorney in the commercial litigation department. Strauss is a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rated attorney with more than 12 years of litigation practice in Florida. His diverse experience includes service as a litigation associate at several South Florida law firms, including two years as one firm’s Chief Operating Officer. He also served as in-house litigation counsel for a West Palm Beach-based corporation, overseeing its employment law, consumer, civil and commercial legal matters arising at 93 automotive dealerships in eight states. In Pennsylvania, Strauss worked for the Governor’s Office of General Counsel, and as a judicial intern for a Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice.
Strauss’s practice focuses on commercial and civil litigation, including business and real estate matters as well as employment law cases. His skills will be utilized for similar matters at the Gary firm, and will assist in the firm’s expanding tobacco litigation and other complex matters.
Strauss is licensed to practice in Florida, and is admitted in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and, U.S. Supreme Court.
Strauss received his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and his law degree from Penn State Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
He is a member of both the Martin County and Palm Beach County Bar Associations, and serves on the Board of Directors of the North County Section of the Palm Beach County Bar Association
Prior to the start of his legal career, Strauss worked as a journalist for nearly a decade, including service as a staff writer for USA Today and roles as a business editor, lifestyles editor, columnist and staff writer at The News-Press and Gannet News Service.
